The conference programme will explore emerging trends, share global best practices, and discuss strategies to unlock new opportunities while addressing key industry challenges. This year’s programme covers a diverse range of topics, including the future of aviation, emerging trends in hospitality, climate action initiatives, and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the sector. On the first day, Cassie Kozyrkov, CEO of Kozyr, a leading international expert in AI and Google’s first Chief Decision Scientist, hosted the opening session on the Future Stage on how the travel industry can lead in AI adoption.

The second day of the ATM Conference will feature the annual Ministerial Session, which will explore how tourism growth can be unlocked through enhanced connectivity. The session will bring together the Ministers of Tourism from Bahrain and Lebanon, alongside the CEO of Trip.com, to discuss how infrastructure, innovation and inclusion can build robust tourism frameworks that empower communities and enhance cross-border accessibility. On day three, Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, will address the Global Stage to examine the future of aviation in an era of transformation and global disruption. Meanwhile, key findings from the IBTM World Trends Report will be shared on the Business Events Stage.

The final day will feature in-depth market insight sessions on Asia Pacific, as well as a dedicated spotlight on India’s burgeoning tourism sector. A major highlight on closing day will be the ATM Start-Up Competition, offering a platform for emerging entrepreneurs and innovators to pitch their ideas and redefine the future of travel.

ATM 2025 forms part of Arabian Travel Week, a ten-day festival of travel and tourism events held annually in Dubai. Over its three-decade history, ATM has played a pivotal role in facilitating over USD2.5 billion in industry deals and advancing the Middle East’s tourism landscape. Organised in collaboration with Dubai World Trade Centre, ATM 2025’s strategic partners include the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) as Destination Partner; Emirates as Official Airline Partner; IHG Hotels & Resorts as Official Hotel Partner; and Al Rais Travel as Official DMC Partner.

UAE Hospitality Sector Shows Resilience Amidst Change: Key Insights

Update Resilient Spirit of Hospitality: How UAE is Coping In an inspiring show of unity amidst adversity, the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) recently brought together over 50 C-level executives at a closed-door luncheon hosted by the RIKAS Hospitality Group in Dubai. The event celebrated resilience and innovation as key themes to navigate a transformed travel landscape. H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE's Minister of Economy and Tourism, welcomed attendees, expressing pride in the local hospitality community's determination during challenging times. His words resonated: "I feel proud to be in a room with all of you who have stood your ground and are standing with the UAE’s economy through these challenging times." Future Collaborations H.E. Al Marri emphasized the importance of collaboration among the public and private sectors, reiterating that the government is committed to agile responses in a continually evolving environment. Data from Azad Zangana, Head of GCC Macroeconomic Analysis at Oxford Economics, provided insight into regional trends, suggesting that while international travel may see volatility, the demand for local and regional tourism remains strong. Zangana stated, "People are still demanding holidays...despite shifts in travel patterns." Shifting Dynamics of Travel The FHS luncheon revealed that consumers’ desire for travel is not waning, but rather, shifting towards domestic destinations. This shift indicates a strong potential for regional hospitality businesses to capitalize on local tourists, highlighting the importance of tailored offerings to meet new consumer behavior. Reflecting on the region's spirit, Jonathan Worsley, Chairman of The Bench, noted that this gathering was designed to inspire collective reimagining of hospitality, Hospitality Transformation and Adaptation Strategies Adapting to current circumstances requires creativity and flexibility. As hotels recalibrate their strategies to attract local clientele, enhancements in service offerings can leverage existing venues to create memorable experiences without waiting for the international market to rebound. For instance, neighborhood-focused initiatives reward community engagement, allowing hospitality venues to remain vibrant and busy. Beyond immediate adaptations, sustainable strategies will ensure long-term growth in the hospitality sector. Highlighting the operational shift necessary in current times, interior experiences such as wellness facilities, dining options, and workspace flexibility are increasingly valuable, ensuring engagement with local residents beyond short-term tourists. Conclusion: Unity for a Prosperous Future The FHS gathering made it clear: the UAE’s hospitality industry is not just waiting for recovery; it is actively fostering a robust atmosphere of resilience through unity and collaboration. As we prepare for the peak season ahead, the dedication to building a vibrant tourism sector is palpable, and the promise of exciting travel adventures awaits.
