After an unexpected series of airline strikes, I finally touched down in Milan on a Lufthansa flight, marking the beginning of an unforgettable weekend escape. Milan, with its stunning Duomo and vibrant fashion scene, has always been an elusive destination for me. Despite having traveled extensively through Italy—from the sun-kissed Amalfi Coast to the rolling hills of Tuscany—I had never quite managed to visit this urban gem. The 50-minute flight from Frankfurt to Milan Linate Airport was surprisingly smooth, defying my previous experiences of chaotic airport transfers. Once disembarking, I found a dedicated taxi line, which got me to my hotel—Sina De La Ville, located just a stone’s throw from the Duomo—in under 25 euros and 20 minutes.
