My journey began in Poland, where I celebrated my friend Cailin's birthday in Kraków. Our experience was not just filled with delectable food like paczki and pierogi but also deep reflections at Auschwitz. Visiting the Wieliczka Salt Mine was a refreshing escape from the summer heat, with its cooler, dimly lit chambers offering a visually stunning and serene environment. This site serves as a reminder of the rich history embedded in every corner of Kraków, and it's a must-visit, especially on hot summer days.

After Poland, Charlie and I ventured to Athens, a city I had long overlooked.
